Vlad Mihai Tanasie / The master mind of Sushi Omakase and Nr. 1 in The Sushi Championship Romania 2024 "Ten years ago I started working at a japanese restaurant here in Cluj-Napoca, where a japanese chef guided me through the world of sushi. For about five years , I learned from him and i started to perfect myself, which led me to fall in love with the japanese cuisine. That's how the idea of what is today Sushi Omakase has begun. I wanted to take further everything that I learned and love.”

Impeccable sushi in Cluj, you'd be hard pressed to find anything near this quality in most European cities. Even the sides are excellent. The friend we went with later told us that the head chef is a recipient of multiple awards. Makes sense. We loved the sashimi and tartare, both tasty and creative. Top marks for the service and atmosphere as well. Looking forward to coming back.
